Process
How it works
ClearSignal IP engagements follow a fixed structure. Scope is confirmed before review. Evidence is mapped before conclusions. Uncertainty is explicit.
Workflow
Step 01
Intake and scope lock
We confirm the trigger context (fundraising, partnership, transaction) and lock scope and exclusions in writing before review begins.
Step 02
Claim capture
We extract what is being represented about IP from the deck, data room, internal summaries, or stakeholder statements.
Step 03
Evidence mapping
Each claim is mapped to supporting materials. Evidence is treated as present, partial, or missing. Unknowns are labeled.
Step 04
Sufficiency scoring
Claims are scored as supported, partially supported, or unsupported with evidence notes. Ambiguity is separated from absence.
Step 05
Stress test and signals
We generate likely diligence questions and identify what can and cannot be answered today. Obligation signals are flagged without interpretation.
Step 06
Decision brief and fix list
You receive a concise written brief with prioritized fixes and clear limits. The output is designed to be used internally and with counsel.
Limits
What this process does not produce
- Legal advice or legal opinions
- Validity, enforceability, infringement, or freedom-to-operate conclusions
- Comprehensive diligence coverage
The goal is clarity on what is supported today, where gaps exist, and where specialist review is warranted.
